HOPE Church is seeking a Technical Director to join our team in Richmond, VA. This full-time role is perfect for someone who thrives in creative, fast-paced environments and has a passion for leading teams that bring worship and storytelling to life through audio, video, lighting, and livestreaming. As the Technical Director, you’ll provide hands-on leadership for a skilled team of specialists covering digital media, special events, livestreaming, and student ministry production. You’ll help shape the overall HOPE experience by aligning production environments with our vision: A catalytic movement offering the Gospel to as many people as possible as creatively as necessary. What You’ll Be Doing ● Leading and developing a high-performing production team ● Overseeing audio, video, lighting, and livestream execution for Sunday services and special events ● Collaborating across ministries (Worship, Communications, Family Ministries) to create seamless in-person and online experiences ● Implementing systems, tools, and creative solutions to improve production quality and reliability ● Maintaining production schedules, budgets, and training systems for staff and volunteers What We’re Looking For ● Strong leadership and team-building experience ● Significant experience leading A/V or production teams in a church, performance, or broadcast setting ● Deep technical knowledge of production systems (audio, video, lighting, livestreaming) ● Excellent communication and organizational skills ● A proactive problem-solver who thrives on collaboration ● A heart for ministry and alignment with HOPE’s mission, values, and faith commitments Details ● Schedule: 40 hours/week (includes Sundays + some evenings/weekends for events) ● Reports to: Pastor of Worship Arts ● Location: Richmond, VA ● FLSA Status: Exempt
