Flatirons Church exists to bring the awesome life of Christ to a lost and broken world. As part of the Creative Team, the Video Editor plays a vital role in shaping the stories that move hearts, stir action, and build connection. Whether capturing a moment from stage or crafting a testimony behind the scenes, this role helps elevate Flatirons' message with excellence, emotion, and authenticity. The Video Editor is responsible for turning raw footage into compelling, polished, and emotionally resonant stories. This role manages the post-production workflow from ingest to export, handling organization, audio, color, and final delivery. The Video Editor works closely with Producers and Creative Directors to execute content that aligns with campaign goals, brand standards, and the heart of Flatirons. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced skill in DaVinci Resolve (cut, color, audio workflows)
- Proven experience editing a wide range of content (longform and shortform)
- Strong sense of story structure, emotional tone, and visual rhythm
- High attention to detail and ability to work within brand and campaign guidelines
- Willingness to receive feedback and improve iteratively
- Basic motion graphics or After Effects experience is a bonus
- Excellent file management and project organization skills
- Ability to travel potentially over multiple days, to on-location shoots (locally and internationally).
- Give and receive helpful, constructive feedback, and have the understanding that feedback is not personal.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Edit messages, campaigns, social content, story films, and event recaps using DaVinci Resolve.
- Shape visual narratives that engage viewers emotionally and communicate the intended message.
- Apply pre-existing creative direction and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Manage post-production workflow: file naming, project folder setup, audio syncing, backups, exports.
- Sync audio, apply light color correction and grading, and prep final files for multiple formats. (YouTube, in-service, social)
- Revise content based on team feedback with clarity, speed, and professionalism.
- Maintain version control and help organize internal media libraries.
- Occasionally support basic motion graphics needs or coordinate with motion partners.
- Contribute to a collaborative and feedback-rich creative culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
