Orange Thread LIVE Video Department Lead will assist with the regular execution of headache-free productions within the Orange Thread LIVE Events brand by providing leadership to the video department. For more infromation, visit OrangeThreadLive.com // Job Description // This full time position is responsible for assisting the team in executing value-add, profitable, and headache-free solutions. As a member of the Orange Thread Media, LLC team, core areas of responsibility will include (but not limited to): - Support the Production Managers by leading the processes of advancing events, preparing documentation, executing drawings, and completing various pre-production documents within the video department. - Assist Warehouse Manager to organize and maintain video and video related equipment in the Orange Thread LIVE warehouse. - Lead warehouse staff and staff technicians in ensuring that video orders are complete, labeled, and ready for delivery. Ensure equipment is packed safely and securely. - Manage the testing, preventative maintenance, and, when necessary, repairs, of video equipment. - Assist with the packing and and un-packing of heavy event equipment in a van, box truck or semi. - Serve as an internal expert in the area of video as it relates to signal flow, processing, power, equipment (in house & future purchases) and industry standards in video production/broadcast. - Advise Orange Thread LIVE leadership of video inventory needs and make purchasing recommendations. - Assist with video system design and concept development as needed. - Advise Production and Client Management staff on matters related to video. // Key Requirements // - High work ethic with a “make-it-happen” attitude that is able to self-manage, yet work with a team. - Interest with current technologies related to video & event production. - Knowledge of engineering, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills relevant to live event video systems including broadcast style cameras, IMAG and web stream production, projection systems and related topics. - Working understanding of power distribution and rigging design and implementation within the context of entertainment video and projection systems. - Ability to draft and create layout drawings, signal flows and rigging plots, pull sheets, and other documentation using software tools including Vectorworks Spotlight and ConnectCAD. - Working knowledge of Barco Projectors, Ross Switchers/Routers, Pro Presenter and Resolume Arena preferred. - Commitment to creating and leading a safe work environment for event production and personnel. - Ability to obtain/maintain a standard TN “Class D” Drivers License and DOT Medical Card. - Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) in assistance with executing live events.
