Our staff team culture at Highlands is LIFE - Love, Integrity, Fun and Excellence - as we serve the church family God has brought together at Highlands! The Student Ministry Pastor plays a strategic role within Highlands Church to create and promote a dynamic ministry for grades five through twelve. Under the direction of the Family Ministry Pastor, this role will exist to shepherd our next generation, champion student evangelism, foster a genuine relationship with Christ, equip families for spiritual battle, disciple and be fully committed to discipleship. Some specific responsibilities include:
- Provide vision, oversight and leadership of the Student Ministry team including the 5th & 6th Grade Coordinator and the Minister of Jr High.
- Develop and lead dynamic, Bible-based curriculum for the Highlands HS students.
- Recruit, develop and equip a volunteer staff to invest in the lives of students.
- Equip parents to lead their families and grow in faith.
- Discover and provide opportunities in discipleship, ministry outreach and evangelism within the local high schools.
- Be personally committed to the overall church gathering for worship as well as leading students to be a contributing part of the church body.
