The Audio & Lighting Director at The Church at Rancho Bernardo helps create excellent, distraction-free, Spirit-led worship and teaching environments. The role requires technical skill in audio and lighting, musical sensitivity, and strong people leadership. You’ll be responsible for delivering a clear and powerful mix every Sunday, both in-person and online, while leading and developing a volunteer team. You’ll manage AVL systems, ensure everything is ready for services, and work closely with the Worship Pastor and Broadcast Director. This job is about radical ownership: of volunteers, equipment, collaboration, and self-leadership. You’ll recruit and train new volunteers, build scalable systems, and creatively solve problems when resources are limited. The goal is to amplify worship, support ministries across the campus, and build a culture of excellence that still leaves room for the Spirit to move. In short: this role combines hands-on production leadership, system management, volunteer development, and spiritual alignment to make sure every worship experience at The Church RB is powerful, seamless, and God-honoring.
