Overview:
The Campus Worship Pastor is a collaborative-oriented role that works directly with the Central Worship Pastor in coordinating the campus worship ministry to cultivate a life-giving, passionate, and skillful Worship culture for a Zion City Campus. The Campus Worship Pastor will partner with the Central Worship Pastor and Campus Pastor to lead and guard the spiritual culture of the Worship staff, Serve Team Volunteers and others as assigned by the Central Worship Pastor.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of ministry experience overseeing and leading worship for church services.
- Proficiency in voice, lyrics, & an instrument (guitar or piano).
- Ability to create, coordinate, and lead a worship experience with a team.
- Sound in Biblical theology and doctrine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and care for people.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build, recruit, train musicians and vocalists
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively and with relational tact.
- Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Lead Campus Worship services, musicians, and teams as directed by the Central Worship Pastor.
- Assist The Central Worship Pastor with the selection, development, training, and coordination of musicians and worship teams.
- Assist the Central Worship Pastor with department planning and implementation of department projects and assist in achieving weekly goals.
- Contact and meet with potential Serve Team members and help them go through the process of becoming a member of the Worship Team.
- Assist the Central Worship Pastor with maintaining accurate and up-to-date information of Serve Team members on Planning Center Online.
- Provide support to the Campus Pastor as needed to enhance and help with the overall service experience
- Regular oversight follow-up with Campus Worship teams for vision and tasks for Worship at the campus level.
- Work with the Central Worship Pastor to develop and implement worship content, initiatives, venues, communications, and consistency for Zion City.
- Support the leadership culture within Worship that is life-giving and focused on health.
- Collaborate with the Campus Pastors to create an effective connection rhythm with Staff and Serve Team members that results in growing spiritually, professionally, and relationally.
- Conduct research and maintain sharpened skills to implement a relevant approach to worship, enhance worship developments, and execute best practices.
- Pray daily for your team and provide a relational spiritual leadership connection with Worship teams.
- Perform pastoral duties aligned with Zion City - Pastor, love, care, shepherd, etc
