Communications Director Crossroads Grace Community Church Manteca, California | $70,000—$100,000 Full-time
This role oversees both internal and external communication strategies, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with the church’s mission and values. The director supervises the Project Coordinator and Media Coordinator, while also empowering a team to manage web, social media, app, email, and digital communication efforts.
Key responsibilities include developing strategic communication plans, prioritizing messaging, and promoting storytelling that encourages next steps for engagement. The director educates staff and ministry leaders on communication processes, fosters relational connections across teams, and advocates for creativity and clarity in leadership settings. They oversee design and production of print and digital materials, including graphics, weekly programs, brochures, and guest resources, as well as signage and displays at all campuses.
This role also manages worship service communication elements such as announcements, slides, and videos, while collaborating closely with the Lead Pastor, Creative Arts Pastor, and other leaders. Externally, the director leads marketing, advertising, outreach, and media relations, including press releases and crisis communication planning.
The position requires a Christ follower who is committed to Crossroads Grace, with a background in communications, PR, or marketing and at least four to six years of experience. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, project management, and relational skills are essential, along with humility and a coachable spirit.
