Connection Pointe Christian Church Brownsburg, Indiana Full-time
DESCRIPTION:
The Young Adults Pastor will lead the implementation of the Connection Pointe’s Worldview Vision for the young adults (18-29 year olds) at Connection Pointe across all locations. This will primarily take place through ownership of the Thursday night young adults gathering, the career mentoring program, and college ministry partnerships. This individual will work closely with young adults, adult career mentors, high school seniors, and young adult ministries at strategic universities. They will partner with the student ministry team to insure a smooth transition from high school ministry to young adult ministry. This is not a typical college or young adult ministry. Its elements are strategically designed to integrate with our church-wide Worldview vision and initiatives and address common issues that cause young adults to walk away from Christianity. This leader will need to be simultaneously detailed oriented, and community and discipleship minded. Ultimately, the goal is to help Connection Pointe’ young adults defy the trend of 2/3 young adults walking away from the church and instead equip them to become spiritual leaders in our church, community, and state.
WHO WE ARE:
Our Connection Pointe Staff Team is a unified group of imperfect people who tirelessly work to connect people to a saving relationship with Jesus and life changing relationships with each other. As individuals we have a personal relationship with Christ and are committed to the vision of Connection Pointe Christian Church.
HOW WE LEAD:
We give ministry away: as staff we are always looking for faithful volunteers who can step up into roles that allow us to expand and replicate ourselves.
We look for leaders who can lead leaders.
We work hard and prioritize our families: with the exception of Easter, Christmas and other “all hands” pushes, we work 5 days a week and have an extended two-day sabbath from Friday through Saturday for weekend required employees that allows us to leave work at work and be with our families.
We are always improving: we seek new ways of connecting people to Jesus and each other. We are always asking “How could we make this experience or environment better?”
We are customer first: we seek world class customer experiences that meet people in their mess and surpass expectations.
We find a way: we cut through red tape, relentlessly seeking to serve the people in our care with grace, perseverance and courage. There is always a way, we just have to find it.
We assume the best and fight for unity
