The Executive Producer helps manage the people, processes, and timelines involved in our storytelling to help us stay on course and on budget while also striving to become better versions of ourselves. She or he will work under the leadership of the Creative Director, overseeing the production process by managing people, strategizing the process, coordinating capabilities, and collaborating across teams to help us all create and live well. Managing People. No process works without people, and people work best when they’re known and led well. This person doesn’t need to be a specialist on the ins-and-outs of how to tell a story, but they should be an expert on leading and loving people. We believe that being a good storyteller starts with being a good human, and this person will be the primary listener and leader for our team of storytellers. Strategizing the Process. When an idea gets pitched… it’s exciting! When we have to actually make it… it’s terrifying! This person will strategize the process to make it a little less terrifying. She or he will always have the big picture in mind, working to align the timelines, resources, and releases of our stories to transform the stories we imagine into plans we can execute. Coordinating Capabilities. As he or she works to know the team and help every individual get better, this person will also have the insight to know when to push forward and when to slow down, who needs a break and who needs to be encouraged to break through. This person will lead the charge in aligning the right people with the right stories in order to deliver at the right times. Collaborating Across Teams. No person is an island, and neither is any team. This person will always have the big picture in mind, helping to bring the storytelling team’s efforts into alignment with the needs, deliverables, and necessary deadlines of the rest of Wonderhunt and our outside partners.
