As the Central Special Ministries Coordinator, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Central Special Ministries Director and are responsible for executing the assigned tasks and providing administrative support to Special Ministries on all campuses under the direction of the Central Special Ministries Director, as well as overseeing and ensuring the office administrative functions are effectively carried out.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Act as the first impression liaison in accepting phone calls, personal visits, and emails
- Manage calendar, make appointments, and schedule meetings for the Central Special Ministries Director
- Process expense reimbursements, ERs, and other financial forms
- Schedule rooms with technical needs, food service requests, childcare, volunteers, etc.
- Collect and edit content and send to Communications for bulletin ads, ENews, marketing requests and posters
- Ensure rooms are set-up, signs are out, and leaders are cared for logistically
- Attend meetings as requested; record and distribute minutes and provide necessary follow-up and take away
- Participate in bi-monthly administrative personnel meetings
- Represent Special Ministries at church events as needed
- Maintains Ministry website calendar, web page update and Facebook page
- Update and utilize ROCK to ensure data integrity and standardized processes
- Recruit, train and supervise volunteers for office work, special projects, data entry, events with registration
Under the supervision of the Central Special Ministries Director, you will:
- Support the vision for Special Ministries that aligns with the vision of Scottsdale Bible Church
- Support and assist the Central Special Ministries Director in implementing ministry plans and goals across all campuses
- Follow up as needed to assure details are in place for ministry-planned functions
- Event and project planning with an established timeline and adequate team
- Support the Director in building relationships with special needs families and with volunteers
- Plan outreach events for the ministry including families and friends to enjoy ministry outside of regular classes
- Attend regular programming
- Maintain organization of classroom(s) and supply closet
- Implement teacher rotation schedules for every class; provide curriculum and supplies as directed by Central Special Ministries Director
