Summary / Objective:
The Communications Director leads the creative communications process, including brand strategy, marketing, film, social media, and overall brand experience. The Communications Director will create, organize, plan, and implement effective communications messages and strategies with Life Center ministries. The individual will support Life Center leaders in conveying their vision and communications priorities to appropriate audiences through social media, graphic design, and engaging video content.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Leading and developing the Communications and Resource Center Teams.
- Recommending staffing and compensation changes
- Ensuring all employees understand and adhere to the Communications Style Guide and other branding elements in all written and electronic communications and marketing (indirectly responsible)
- Responsible for cultivating, leading, and managing a team of volunteers to help implement Life Center’s communications strategy.
- Responsible for maintaining an awareness of and adherence to basic relevant employment law.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, implementing, and overseeing all internal promotions and external marketing plans. This includes social media marketing, print, and using our database to create emails, texts, and targeted social posts.
- Keeping social media and website updated and engaging.
- Overseeing the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to ensure that goals are achieved.
- Developing plans to effectively position Life Center in the community, including external advertising and PR efforts, as appropriate.
- Lead all church creative branding and projects.
- Partnering with the Build Strong Pastor to create and implement all weekend communications.
- Collaborating with the Production Director on special projects including but not limited to testimony videos, special events, and other creative elements needed.
- Managing, hiring, and developing the communications staff through leadership which conveys the vision, mission, and values of the church.
- Planning, developing, and presenting budget recommendations, work goals, progress measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide quality service.
- Cultivating and maintaining external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required.
- Overseeing the operations and strategic functions of the Resource Center.
- Other duties as assigned.
