JOB SUMMARY:
The Student Director leads, directs, and provides vision for all aspects of Student Ministry, under the umbrella of Family Ministry.
Responsible for creating caring, welcoming weekly small and large group environments where students can be individually known and consistently challenged to grow spiritually. The Student Director should have a heart for reaching this age group with the truth and love of Jesus, and an understanding of the current issues impacting them. In addition, the Student Director is responsible for student retreats and special events that support their discipleship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Vision
- Cast & communicate the vision of Browncroft Students to fellow staff, volunteers, students, and congregation.
- Consistently evaluate ministry to ensure alignment with the vision and values of Family Ministry and the church.
- Provide insight into the preparation of the annual budget. Leadership
- Lead, disciple, and empower Browncroft Students paid staff to effectively accomplish goals for their primary responsibilities, as they grow in their faith.
- Lead, disciple, and empower volunteer coaches in their roles, as they lead, disciple, and support other small group leaders.
- Be a member of the Family Ministry leadership team. Volunteer Oversight
- Ensure that all Browncroft Student volunteers are effectively recruited, screened, trained, placed, evaluated, and celebrated.
- Lead volunteer training throughout the year.
- Recruit additional volunteers for student summer groups and bible studies outside of Wednesday nights. Program
- Oversight of weekly Student programming by planning and directing speaking, production, and worship teams.
- Monthly communication with parents with an overview of what students are learning and providing relevant resources. Special Events
- Oversee the successful execution of intentional special events for Students and/or families. Safety
- Ensure the safety of our Students by effectively screening volunteers, keeping safe student/volunteer ratios, maintaining a clean/healthy environment, and working with the security team on processes and procedures.
Environment
- Ensure the Browncroft Student areas are welcoming, attractive, and stocked with adequate supplies and equipment.
- Attend all weekly staff meetings as assigned.
- Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related area of study or ministry preferred.
- Previous experience in leading a dynamic Student ministry.
- Experience being part of a Family Ministry Team.
